Stephen has over 25 years' experience in the rural property sector since joining Robinson & Hall in 1986 and becoming a partner in 1991. Having grown up on a farm, he draws on his agricultural experience to advise landowners and rural businesses on a broad range of property related matters.

Specialising in landlord and tenant law, valuations, compulsory purchase and estate management, Stephen acts as land agent for several rural estates, including the Shuttleworth Trust in Bedfordshire. He also arranges finance for rural businesses as Agent and Panel Valuer for the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation PLC. He is a member of the CLA, NFU, TFA, Agricultural Law Association and Royal Forestry Society.

Stephen also plays an active part in the profession being Treasurer (and a Past President) of the Herts, Beds & Bucks Agricultural Valuers Association, a past Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Beds & Herts Rural Practice Division, and a member of the Surveyors 1921 Club.

As Managing Partner, Stephen is responsible for the firm’s operations, information and communications technology, finance, and its quality management system.
