Anaerobic Digestion
Having project managed the first large scale anaerobic digestion plant in the country we are in a unique position to advise on all aspects of anaerobic digestion, having worked closely with a major operator on large scale food waste plants. Anaerobic Digestion (AD) is an emerging technology reliant on land and one that the current government is particularly keen to promote.
The process is effectively a large stomach taking a feedstuff and producing methane gas which can be burnt to produce electricity and a bio-fertiliser that can be spread on the land. Feedstuffs can vary between maize and grass silage to food waste from supermarkets and kitchen waste from residential properties.
Food Waste Plants
If you have an area which you feel may be suitable for an AD plant taking food waste then we would be interested in hearing from you. We can quickly carry out an initial feasibility study if you have a site which may be suitable and we have close links with major developers in this rapidly growing area.
Digestate Taker
A number of companies are in initial stages of developing plants around the country many of which require extra land to spread digestate on. From our experience in project managing the first large scale anaerobic development plant in the country we have an unrivalled knowledge of matters that need to be covered before agreeing to take digestate in order to protect all parties.
