There is much publicity at present about the potential for solar farms in the UK with the introduction of Feed in Tariffs.  The returns look attractive for sites of up to 25 acres with annual rents depending on the location within the country ranging from £1,000 - £2,000 per acre over a term of up to 25 years.  If you are in discussions with developers for a solar farm or think you may have a suitable site careful consideration needs to be given to a wide range of issues from your involvement with the local planning authority through to how to deal with the financial receipts.
